Christening and Baptism mean one and the same thing. It is about recognising that your child is a gift from God and that you want him/her to know the reality of His love by becoming a member of the church. It is like a gateway into a way of life where your little one will grow to know and love the way God has shown himself to the world in Jesus Christ.

Usually Christenings take place in the parish church where you live. If you live further away but have links with St Matthew’s or want to worship here as part of the St Matthew's family, then do still make contact.
