This is a new venture for St. Matthew's and we are delighted to welcome The Utopians with their costumed and staged production of "Pirates".     Many of the faces will be familiar to supporters of East Surrey Operatic Society and The Opera Club of Reigate and Redhill (regular performers at The Harlequin Theatre, Redhill).   All in the group love singing Gilbert and Sullivan operas; each year they give three performances of the year's chosen opera in local churches in aid of a worthy cause.

The regular, weekly Thursday lunchtime concerts at St. Matthew's were established in 1975 and have been in existence without a break ever since.  They provide a link with the local community, are much enjoyed by the audiences and provide a valuable performing platform for talented professionals, amateurs, conservatoire students and schools. To maintain these standards we have a long term project to raise funds for a new piano. Proceeds from this evening will go towards this.

"Pirates" will provide lots of fun and entertainment and make a wonderful evening out.  Please come yourselves and bring friends and relatives too.
