8th January
A Harp Recital, Margaret Watson

Margaret, a one-time pupil of the great Sidonie Goossens, is a harpist of great distinction and a good friend of St. Matthew's. The wonderful sound of her golden harp is matched by her stunning appearance in one of the period gowns she makes.


15th January
A Song Recital 'Three American Greats'
, Nicy Roberts, Soprano and Paul Roberts, Piano
Songs in a lighter vein - Gershwin, Jerome Kern etc. This follows the Roberts' debut recital at St. Matthew's in October '08 when they delighted us with a programme of English song.

22nd January
Woldingham School, Julian Jensen, Director of Music

The School returns for its second visit to St. Matthew's. Its Director of Music promises a full fifty-minute programme packed with young talent.

29th January
An Illustrated Lecture 'The Life and Work of Peter Warlock', Michael Barlow

Michael says Warlock's life was 'interesting' and the lecture includes amusing anecdotes which should bring a smile or two from the audience!
